This client had an existing baltic pine hutch that was very orange. It had been painted over in a black paint that was scratching off. My client wanted a more modern feel for this piece and chose a duck egg blue.
The new house she moved to had a lot of light and pale timber floors along with a blue-grey textured two seater. I recommended to do the brighter tiffany blue to give the room a hit of vibrance and to work back with all of her other furniture and not feel too muted.
After the shock of the blue I put a lot of the client’s accessories with the hutch and she was very pleased with the happy feel she got from the room now. This piece stands out in this room, but also ties everything in just beautifully.
