Home Styles

We all love our own style but tend to get inspiration from images we see or moods we feel – or even places we have visited.

Let’s look at what you can create.

  • Vintage
  • Retro
  • Contemporary
  • Provincial
  • Modern
  • Edwardian
  • Eclectic, with a bit of everything thrown in
  • Oriental
  • Tuscan (Mediterranean)
  • Scandinavian
  • Nautical
  • Classic
  • Others…

All of these styles have cross over ability; this means that the styles work well with others. This helps you be able to use the things that you own more effectively.

Alternatively you can alter some of those pieces that don’t quite work by changing the paint or the fabric to work back with your new look.

When starting a new room it is always a good idea to remove most of the things from that room and have a clear plan as to the look that you want. Then start to build your new room.

Remember that there will always be things that you need to add but for your own sanity they don’t need to be done on round 1. There will be a round two to set everything up just right.

A great thing to have as a “go to reference” is your scrap book with looks you have cut out of mags or Pinterest screenshots you have taken that you can reference easily.

Always remember the space that you are making is for yourself, your family and your lifestyle.
